LARSEN is composed by three independent running videos (non-synchronized) and one soundscape. It is about bodies, their movements, their presentation and their interaction in public space.
The central video is hereby responding to the two earlier produced videos HARAJUKU 2005 (left) and FOX_04 2009 (right). It is distilled out of them, in a performancelike reenactment it cites gestures and movements out of the two different situations, tending to relate them, to detect underlying patterns and styles.
The soundscape plays in this connection mirroring and initiating or catalytic roles, that triggers and affects, but also smoothes out, units of movements, and in that sense functions as a surrounding/environment for the movement. It has no illustrating function. It is about non-verbal semantic, social interaction and technology. From the esthetic (Harajuku) via the politic (Fox04) to the visionary (Larsen).
